About Us

Thank you for visiting our website and thanks for wanting to know a little bit more about us.

Croyde Bay Holiday Resort is open Easter to November providing a unique holiday or short break experience, in one of the most beautiful parts of North Devon.

We offer a choice of hotel rooms, self catering cottages and brand new lodges with a range of food and beverage options and a host of leisure and fun facilities on site, both indoors and outdoors, to suit all ages.

Croyde Bay Holiday Resort has been owned and operated by UNISON for the past 80 years, with a steady stream of investment to enhance the accommodation and facilities, coupled with a commitment to our staff both in terms of training and paying them a living wage. In 2011 a completely new Hotel complex was added to the Resort, over the last few years there has been massive financial investment and development at the Resort bringing a whole new standard of quality rooms and facilities.

Many of our guests return year after year which is very rewarding. When we asked them what they most liked about the Resort, the most popular response was that the resort was “small enough to be safe and intimate but big enough to have lots of things to do”.

Of course, our fantastic location is also a big factor in giving our guests the kind of holiday that lingers long in the memory. Fantastic beach, rolling dunes, great surf, cool village, and then on Resort, a big indoor swimming pool and a large selection of other leisure and entertainment facilities.

If you add to all of these to the ‘can do’ attitude of our staff, we believe it is the recipe to help you get the most from your holiday and helped us in receiving a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence every year for the past five years!

My husband and I stayed for three nights in December. The weather was epic, high winds and rain. However, that didn't spoil it we had a wonderful time. The resort is beautifully kept and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The lodge we stayed in was new and very comfortable and slept six with two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and open plan lounge diner and the facilities onsite well cared for. The location, just behind the dunes of the beautiful Croyde Bay was spectacular. Just a few minutes walk and you are on the beach. There is a great pub just up the road and the bar and restaurant on site are good too. We would definitely come back again.

My Wife and I together with two friends stayed at Unison Croyde Bay Holiday Camp for a long weekend in November. The whole place was very quiet due to being out of season, but oh so restful. The food was good as was the service of all staff. The Lodge we stayed in was spacious, clean and more than adequate for our stay. We had cooking, cleaning, dish washing and clothes washing facilities. This combined with three bedrooms, one with en-suite as well as a separate bathroom/shower, Central heating and double glazing. Excellent all round.

Hiding right behind the dunes, with a pool, games room, tennis court, mini gold, bowling green and bar - we love this place. 15% off for Unison members. There is a variety of accommodation to choose from, ranging from an upstairs room in the main building (just over £100), to a downstairs room (with outside access and patio), to chalets which can accommodate larger parties and finally the top drawer lodges at about £170/night. These are amazing! Fitted kitchen, tiled bathrooms, Netflix and decking with tropical foliage trimming. Its had to leave them to go to the beach.

Came down for my brothers wedding from Manchester. Excellent location, great hotel, made me wish I was a Unison member. Lovely people, helpful and friendly. Tasty scoff in pleasant surroundings, everything felt clean, fresh and the whole place looks like the people who work there to maintain it take pride in their work. I imagine people who come to stay for a holiday rebook often. When I come back down to visit family, this is where I'll stay.
