With Croyde surf schools aplenty, and part of the Croyde Bay Resort surrounded by the sand dunes of Croyde Bay, you can’t get a more perfect location for surf breaks in North Devon.

And if it’s surf lessons you’re after or surfboard hire, then our on-site surf shop and surf school, Walking On Waves, offers expert instruction for all ages and abilities.

If this isn’t your first surf holiday and you’re already prepared, then bring your own surfboard and head straight into the sea.

*Guests staying at the resort receive a 10% discount at the hire shop and on surf lessons at Saunton. *

The Perfect Surf Break

When you’re not surfing or improving your technique with our very own Croyde surf school, then head back to Croyde Bay Resort and relax in our swimming pool and jacuzzi area. If you’ve worked up an appetite or you need to quench your thirst, there are several local pubs – The Thatch, The Manor, The Kings Arms, and The Rock Inn – where you can enjoy a meal or a drink. And if downtime is what you need after a busy day of surf lessons, then you can chill out in your accommodation.

My husband and I stayed for three nights in December. The weather was epic, high winds and rain. However, that didn't spoil it we had a wonderful time. The resort is beautifully kept and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The lodge we stayed in was new and very comfortable and slept six with two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and open plan lounge diner and the facilities onsite well cared for. The location, just behind the dunes of the beautiful Croyde Bay was spectacular. Just a few minutes walk and you are on the beach. There is a great pub just up the road and the bar and restaurant on site are good too. We would definitely come back again.

My Wife and I together with two friends stayed at Unison Croyde Bay Holiday Camp for a long weekend in November. The whole place was very quiet due to being out of season, but oh so restful. The food was good as was the service of all staff. The Lodge we stayed in was spacious, clean and more than adequate for our stay. We had cooking, cleaning, dish washing and clothes washing facilities. This combined with three bedrooms, one with en-suite as well as a separate bathroom/shower, Central heating and double glazing. Excellent all round.

Hiding right behind the dunes, with a pool, games room, tennis court, mini gold, bowling green and bar - we love this place. 15% off for Unison members. There is a variety of accommodation to choose from, ranging from an upstairs room in the main building (just over £100), to a downstairs room (with outside access and patio), to chalets which can accommodate larger parties and finally the top drawer lodges at about £170/night. These are amazing! Fitted kitchen, tiled bathrooms, Netflix and decking with tropical foliage trimming. Its had to leave them to go to the beach.

Came down for my brothers wedding from Manchester. Excellent location, great hotel, made me wish I was a Unison member. Lovely people, helpful and friendly. Tasty scoff in pleasant surroundings, everything felt clean, fresh and the whole place looks like the people who work there to maintain it take pride in their work. I imagine people who come to stay for a holiday rebook often. When I come back down to visit family, this is where I'll stay.
