Find out what is open locally in Croyde including pubs and restaurants. Please note this blog is accurate as of August 1st 2020.

RESTAURANTS

The Thatch – 

The Thatch is open for both indoor and outdoor dining and is accepting the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme (EOTHO).

For dinner, they are accepting bookings for tables from 4pm and have tables available to book or for walk in’s at earlier times. They are only taking online bookings via OpenTable.

For bookings of over 8 people you will need to call to book on 01271890349.

The Manor – 

The Manor is open for indoor and outdoor dining and is accepting the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme (EOTHO).

They are taking bookings for throughout the day, usually selling out in the evenings but you may be able to walk in during the day. You can book between 9am-4pm via 01271890241 or on their website by filling out a contact form (which doesn’t guarantee a reservation is available). They are accepting large bookings but they may be split on separate tables.

They are operating a one way system to help with social distancing.

Kings Arms – 

The Kings Arms Georgeham is open for indoor and outdoor dining and is accepting the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme (EOTHO).

They are generally only accepting bookings though may have some walk-in tables for lunch. You can book on 01271890240, by filling out a form on their website or emailing info@kingsarmsgeorgeham.co.uk.

Tables are being booked by arrival times separated by 10 minutes to ensure customer flow and no overcrowding.

Croyde Bay Resort – 

Our restaurant will be open for table service from until 8am – 1.30pm for breakfast and  5pm – 9pm for dinner. For dinner, we will have outdoor and indoor seating available and will be participating in the Eat Out To Help Out Scheme. We will also offer takeaway/delivery service.

We will ask you to pay by card or charge to your room & not be accepting cash except in pre-arranged cases, if you are unable to use credit/debit cards.

RESORT

We’ve added many additional outdoor activities – corn hole, table football, rounders, quick cricket, table tennis, foosball. These have been installed around the Croyde Bay site to help you enjoy family time.

We are expanding our shop range to include more options for cooking a family meal to enjoy in your accommodation, this can be pre ordered and delivered to your accommodation prior to arrival, or the shop will be open daily for self selection from 9-5.

Staff will regularly clean the items / equipment but if in doubt we are providing several sanitising stations for you to ensure you clean equipment prior to use.

The swimming pool and tennis courts will be available by pre booking. There will be no evening entertainment.  

BEACH AND AREA

Croyde beach is open as usual and will have RNLI lifeguards for the main summer season.

Everything is open in the village including all the restaurants and shops, as well as some pop up food options. We ask that you do your best to maintain social distancing in our small village.

ATTRACTIONS

Big Sheep –

The Big Sheep in Abbotsham near Bideford is open for your fun days out. The shows, rides, and animal exhibits are open as well as their new outdoor stage with sociality distanced pods!

They’re performing temperature checks and operating a one-way system among many other measures.

They’re operating a pre-booking system which will allow you to book a specific day and time – just click on ‘book now’ on The Big Sheep website to get started!

Milky Way –

The other big adventure park in North Devon, The Milky Way Adventure Park, is also open for all their outdoor activities as well as their indoor play area which is at 30% capacity. 

You can book tickets online at The Milky Way and they are operating a cashless system on site.

Face masks are required in some areas and on some rides.

Quince Honey Farm –

Quince Honey Farm in South Molton is open from 11am – 3pm for their restaurant, shop and gardens.
